My first pregnancy tag.

1. Were you married at the time? Yes, for one month..
2. What were your reactions when you found out you were pregnant? I was worried sick of what my dad would do, I was scared, happy, anxious; I think just about every emotion at the time.
3. How old were you? 20
4. How did you find out you were pregnant? Pregnancy test.
5. Who did you tell first? Ryan. Then we told my mom a couple of days later. After a couple of weeks of my dad not knowing I had asked my mom to tell him. She said no and then preceeded to call him downstairs with us because "Your daughter has something to tell you."
6. Did you want to find out the sex? Yes, I don't like surprises.
7. Due date? November 19, 2004
8.Did you deliver early or late? Way early, Carver was born at 28 weeks. I developed severe pre-eclympsia, or pregnancy induced hypertension.
9. Did you have morning sickness? I was sick in the evenings, never in the mornings.
10. What did you crave? Ice and shrimp, pretty much all I ate.
11. Who irritated you the most? Really no one. I do remember Ryan trying to cuddle with me and me pushing him away because I "WAS HOT"!!!
12. What was your first child's sex? Baby boy.
13. How many pounds did you gain throughout the pregnancy? 50, but the last 15 was in the last week of the pregnancy. Extreme weight gain in a short time is a symptom of pre-eclympsia.
14.Did you have any complications during your pregnancy? Pre-eclympsia and the symptoms of that were: 1. severe swelling of my whole body, mostly the ankles and the face. I remember after I had him I couldn't even wear shoes. 2. High blood pressure, it topped out at 175/100. 3. The worse headache of my life! 4. Blurred vision. 5. Extreme weight gain in a short time.

16. How many hours were you in labor? I was never in labor, my blood pressure got so high that they had to do an emergency c-section.
17. Who drove you to the hospital? My mom. I remember calling the doctor that morning because someting just didn't feel right. My mom said I was a hypocondriact but the nurse said to just come in and they would check me out just to be safe. My mom went with me because I asked her to, I didn't want to go alone.
18. Who watched? Ryan, only one person allowed in the O.R.
19. Was it natural or c-section? C-section.
20. Did you take medicine to ease the pain? I didn't have a choice because of the C-section, they gave me an epidural.
21.How much did your child weigh? 2 lbs, 4oz.
22.Did your child have any complications? He was in the NICU for 8 weeks to the day. He had one blood transfusion but other than that, really, we got super lucky. He just had to grow and learn how to eat, breath, and keep his body temperature up. He was only intibated for like the first 8 hours of life and then could almost breath on his own. He never got sick and never had a problem tolerating his feedings. All the nurses kept telling us how unbelievably luck we were.
