First off the laugh-
Ya know how when you cant get your dvd or cd to play and you breath on it and then rub off the scratches??? Well we have to do that alot around this house because the kids destroy them. C must watch me and he did this yesterday: He got a remote control helicopter for Christmas and he loves playing with it. I am not so good figuring out how to work it so yesterday when R was working and the helicopter was having problems flying C took it upon himself to try and fix it. Yup he did, he brought the helicopter to his mouth, breathed on it, and said "it's fixed now mom."
And now for the scare-
I had to call 911 yesterday for P-bug. He was eating a lifesaver (I know, it will never happen again) and he started choking on it. I jumped up and picked him up and ran into the kitchen. Then was when I really realized that it wasn't coming up. I threw his stomach on my forearm and slammed him on the back. When I turned him back over it still wasn't out and he was loosing color. It was the most aweful feeling in the world to watch him not able to breath and
to be totally powerless. The only thing that came to mind was "run, run fast to the neighbors house." So I picked up the phone and ran out the door calling 911. The dispatch picked up on the first ring and the first thing she asked was what is your emergency address. By this time P was trying to gag up the lifesaver. I kept thinking he was going to throw-up but he never was able to get it back up. He would cry out and then when he would try to breath in, he couldn't, so he would cry out even more. I had to tell the dispatch my address three times before she got it correct. I was absolutely hysterical and tears were pouring from my eyes. Before I made it to my neighbors house he was able to get it unlodged and it went down. Right after that the paramedic got there. R was on duty that day and when he heard the call come in he was panic-stricken. P is doing fine now, his throat is a little swollen, but I was pretty shooken up, I couldn't get control of my tears, they just kept coming. I couldn't get control of my body either, it just kept shaking. Later on that night I fell to my knees and thanked my Heavenly Father for keeping my little guy safe.
My mom called me around 9 pm that night. I had forgotten that I had just tried to call her when P started choking. I must have just set the cell phone down and not pushed the end button. She has the whole thing played on her answering machine.
Everyone with toddlers, be super careful with food around the size of lifesavers, I always thought he was old enough and would be fine.
And now for what I forgot to share-
I am offically, for the first time, becoming an aunt. My sister-in-law and brother are having a little baby boy!!! I am super excited for them!! They have been waiting for this little miracle for a long time and am so happy they have finally been blessed with him! I just saw a picture of my sister in law on her blog and she looks so cute!! That little one is growing and will soon be here and I cannot wait to hold him in my arms and be able to spoil/love him the way Kim and Kirk have spoiled my little ones! Congrate guys, I am so, so, so happy for you.

However, we were in the car my dad had to pull me out and give me the hymlich(no idea how to spell it) thankfully it came up. I almost cried for you while reading this. Glad he is okay.
